2008-5-24: effective early 2009, the hekiruworld.com domain is set to expire and will not be renewed. Additionally, the server which hosts the media database and video content will expire in August 2008; this will not be renewed either. In order to prepare for these changes, the following modifications have been made:

• The links to the media section have been removed since the video content will not be re-hosted elsewhere (this may change since a surprising number of hits are still going into this section).
• For sections of the site which were being served on the backend by the media database (which is being depreciated), these have been reverted back into static pages (the CD section has finally been updated to the present).
• All browser requests to the hekiruworld.com domain are now being permanently redirected to the domain that it will reside at for the foreseeable future. The purpose of doing this now is that even with a 301 redirect, the site will lose its page ranking and it will take awhile (if ever) to get back into at least the first 10 pages of a search. This should provide plenty of time for bookmarks to be updated and to allow at least some of the changes to propagate through the search engines.

These changes will be the final update as the site is now officially in maintenance mode (it has been operating in that state anyway since 2005). As for the forum, it will continue to remain online.
